Mike Posner has launched a remix contest for his recent single, ‘I Went Back to Ibiza,’ inviting electronic music producers to rework the sequel of a generational dance anthem.

Released in February of this year, the track functions as a spiritual successor to Posner’s ‘I Took a Pill in Ibiza,’ the 2015 hit that famously name-dropped Avicii and morphed into a global hit after Seeb’s chart-topping remix. Like its predecessor, ‘I Went Back to Ibiza’ arrived as a stripped-back arrangement, leaving the door wide open for producers to reimagine it.

After dropping an official remix from David Guetta, the multi-Platinum singer-songwriter is now extending the same opportunity to producers everywhere.

“Create something true to you and share it with me,” Posner said.
