So many artists, so many songs, so little time. Each week we review a handful of new albums (of all genres), round up even more new music that we’d call “indie,” and talk about what metal is coming out. Here’s a daily roundup with a bunch of interesting, newly released songs in one place.
KRALLICE – “LIVING USELESS RITUAL”
The long-running, prolific, experimental NYC black metal band Krallice have announced a new album, Scour Order, due September 18 via Profound Lore (their first in a very long time for this label, which released their first three albums). The first single is the raw, intense “Living Useless Ritual.”

SHEARLING – “BELIEVE ME (DUST)”
Shearling, the current band of Sprain members Alex Kent and Sylvie Simmons, have announced a new EP, Don’t Look At Me The Way A Dog Might Look At Your Leg, due this Friday (7/31) via Mishap. First single “Believe Me (Dust)” finds them in slow-paced goth-folk territory.

FAT DOG – “SHIT LOVE”
Fat Dog frontman Joe Love says his band’s new single is about “two fucking insane people who argue constantly and they are world-enders every time.” New album Cancel Me I’m Tired is out October 2.

BIMBO – “CHEWING GLASS”
Minnesota duo Bimbo will release new album The Bimbonacci Sequence on September 18 via Exploding in Sound and here’s their visceral new single. “There is no ethical consumption under capitalism,” says singer Gretchen. “I constantly torment myself by overthinking everything I consume. I am horrified by my impact on the earth. I want to yell about it. The line “every time I chew, I chew glass” came from a video I saw on instagram at like 2am of a super drunk guy who had face-planted through a windshield. I thought it was the most poetic thing I’d ever heard and was obsessed with that line for a month. I was basically pacing in circles and muttering it to myself. I can’t find this video anywhere, I’m not even sure it is real, but the words are.”

THE WELL – “NEW HALLELUJAH FOR THE DAMNED”
Austin stoner rockers The Well have announced a new album, …And Flames Ran Like Living Animals, due September 14 via Spaceflight Records. Along with the announcement comes the evil, riffy “New Hallelujah for the Damned.”
